Justin is available for private instruction on Drum Set, Mallets, and Percussion in the Newton, Watertown, Brookline, and Waltham areas. Styles of expertise include Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B/Soul, Funk, with emphasis on time, groove playing, sight reading, rudiments and technique, solo construction and improvisation, inter-dependence, and song form.
Lessons are available in 30 min., 45 min., and 60 min. time slots to suit the needs and schedules of the student. All ability levels accepted, ages 6 to adult.
Justin brings a calm, patient, easy-going demeanor to his lessons, creating a fun and exciting learning environment. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to each lesson. He uses the many books, videos, transcriptions and recordings he has accumulated over his career to bolster the learning experience.
